People most often call Searcy when they’re overwhelmed with the disarray in their homes or offices. “Some people just don’t know how to set up organizational systems,” Searcy said, “while others don’t have the time or interest in doing it themselves. Some just need to see how well-organized their home or office can be, and then they can maintain it.” Once she understands the client’s goals, Searcy draws up a plan that may include repositioning or replacing furnishings, adding built-in storage units, or purchasing special shelving, dividers or containers.
Her solutions often address common problems such as paper overload, keeping up with bills, organizing toys with dozens of parts, consolidating hobby clutter, paring down stacks of magazines or boxes of financial records. As more people have begun working from home, many are turning to Searcy to help plan multi-purpose rooms – guest rooms that double as home offices, for example.
